This painting is to honor Mother Theresa, who worked tirelessly and unselfishly for the poor in India and was declared a saint for her thankless job—she often could be found picking up dead bodies off the streets of Calcutta and giving them a proper burial. As a very interesting fact about her life, was that she never felt the presence of Christ in her life. She felt extremely guilty about this and didn't want others to know. She was concerned that somehow this would reflect on her badly and others would think less of her. She continued her work regardless of how she felt, showing a true commitment to God.
